Do You Feel That Life is Not Worth Living and Wish That It Will Come to an End Soon?

I have reservation when the subject first floats in my mind.  Kind of morbid, I thought.  But, then again, I come across many people, even friends, some climbing high on the corporate ladder, who harbor such a thought.

It is not uncommon to see people who seem to be doing relatively well, be it in their work, study, relationship or material pursuit questioning the meaning of living.  They may have achieved some level of success – amassing titles, trophies, possessions and what have you.  But deep within, they seem not to relish what they have but choose to suffer the agony of having to face another daylight.

There is more to life than merely eating, working, studying, sleeping or putting food on the table, ensuring a roof over your head, paying off your bills, starting a family, providing for your family, acing in exam or having that dream car or dream holiday.

When you get too busy doing things that don't really matter, no matter how much possessions or fortune you have amassed, you will still feel something missing.  That there seems to be no meaning in life.  And sometimes you wish that you don't have to continue living and suffering this way.

You did not land as an earth being by chance.  It takes precision.  It takes synchronicity.  Beyond imagination.  So, there must be a meaning to your life.  Your life is unique.  It is full of meaning but you must first find and give meaning to it.

If you feel that life is not worth living and wish that it will come to an end soon, then you are not living the right way.  Your thoughts are behind your doings.  Change your thoughts.  Adopt fresh thoughts.  Tell yourself that there is meaning to your life.  Divine work gets you on earth not for you to pay off your bills.

You need to start discovering your purpose here.  It may be easier to start with the things that you love to do.  What are the things that you love to do, without noticing time passing by. without monetary rewards?  What are your passions?  Have you secretly thought of becoming a hair stylist, a musician, an artist, a teacher?  Have you deeply wished to have your little cafe or gift shop?

This discovering process may take time, but once you have started, you will find guiding light along the way.  Be prepared to discard habits.  Be prepared to adopt different lifestyle.  Be prepared even to go without income while you are searching or exploring.

Make this your top most priority.  Find the meaning.  The journey may not be smooth but it is worth every bit of your effort and at the end of the day, you will be most glad that you did.

Thanks for reading this article and leaving your comment, Gabriella.

Interestingly, I just came over after reading your article 'How to Find the Right Job for You'. What you have written really resonates with me.  Seems like we are vibrating at similar frequency.  Thanks for sharing.
